What's happening at the Cottage this week
I feel pretty good about the things I accomplished last week on my to-do list. If anything, I didn't get as many moving boxes unpacked as I would have liked. But those always get pushed down to the bottom of the list. We ended up not going to Atlanta. Originally, I wanted to go to Ikea. It's the closest one to us. But, after reading some articles online, I changed my mind, and hubby was of like mind. Just google what to expect when going to Ikea and you will get the idea. We didn't have anyway to haul everything back and shipping is expensive. So there's that. If we had one in our town, or nearer, I'd be there. I need bookcases.
Hubby did help me get the curtains hung and installed the additional shelving in three closets. This house came with closet organization already in them, we just added more shelves and brackets to take full advantage of the space. Now, I have a place to put more things as I am unpacking. Yay me! And we got the dining area arranged the way I like and removed some things from there that didn't belong there. It's starting to look like a nice place to dine!
I plan on continuing the Cottage Happenings posts for a while to help me with accountability. I do seem to do better with lists and taking time to plan for the things I need to do during the week.
Here are my plans for this week:
Monday:
Pack daughter's lunch
School run at 7:30
Post menu to my blog
Make Vet appointment
Make appointment for me with my doctor
Find out when dd's visit is
Unpack kitchen boxes
Run Rosie the Roomba
Swiffer and mop
Fix husband breakfast
Pack husband's work dinner (working night shift)
I'm thinking Target and Dollar Tree!
Do a load of laundry
ATM
Late pickup at school (driver's ed)
Practice driving with daughter
Tuesday:
Pack daughter's lunch
School run at 7:30
Dust main floor
Clean bathrooms on main
Unpack boxes in master bedroom and bath
Dust Master Bedroom
Pay lawn guy
Bank (deposit and get a roll of quarters)
Fix husband breakfast
Pack husband's dinner for work (night shift)
Late pickup at school (driver's ed)
Practice driving with daughter
Wednesday:
Pack daughter's lunch
School run at 7:30
Work on craftroom
Do a load of laundry
Run Rosie the Roomba
Change Linens
Wash Linens/Towels/Bedspread and Shams
Fix husband breakfast
Pack husband's dinner for work (night shift)
Weekly groceries
Late pickup at school (driver's ed)
Trash taken to street
Thursday:
Pack daughter's lunch
Early school run at 6:30
Clean downstairs, if needed (dd's responsibility)
Continue working in craftroom
Clean out fridge
Dollar Tree (need organizing bins)
Drop off dry cleaning
Weight Watcher's meeting
Late pickup at school (driver's ed)
Husband off work this evening :-)
Cull and organize Tupperware cabinet (I did this before the move, I did this while unpacking, and yet it is still stuffed to the brim!)
Dinner with family
Friday:
Buying lunch-no packing
School run at 7:30
Continue working in craftroom
Tidy house
Run Rosie the Roomba
Swiffer and Mop
Give Kitchen special attention, SS appliances, wipe down cabinets, etc.
3:15 school pickup
Saturday:
Take daughter to and from school play practice
Finish up in craft room (fingers crossed)
If done in craftroom, bring in more boxes from garage to unpack (there are a lot of boxes marked craftroom out there too!
Order pizza delivery!
Sunday:
Church
Possibly visit parents
Sunday Fun Day!
