We're back from our trip to Virginia for spring break. We stayed at a new place, The Summit at Massanutten. It was a very nice resort. They had a lot of skiing and tubing going on. We could look out from our deck and see the slopes. They made artificial snow so you can ski year round there. There was also a large indoor water park which Robert and Robyn enjoyed going to twice. The also went swimming in the indoor pool one day. Then Robyn developed a fever and came down with a croupy cold. Yuck! She was a trooper though. Yesterday, she didn't leave the couch except for bathroom breaks. She is still under the weather today but I am thinking she might be well enough by morning to return to school.
On our last day we went to President John Madison's home, Montpelier. Wow. It was really nice. Architecturally it was no where near the home of Thomas Jefferson, but otherwise, if was a very nice home. It has recently been restored to the 1820 era of Madison's retirement. I love history and I love touring old homes.
I will have dh post some pictures of our trip this week. Stay tuned.
Pam
